Steven Gregory

Steven Gregory studied filmmaking and photography at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and went on to receive a PhD in cultural anthropology at the New School for Social Research in 1986. He is currently Professor of Anthropology at Columbia University and Director of the Institute for Research in African American Studies. His photographs have appeared in his books, most recently, in The Devil Behind the Mirror: Globalization and Politics in the Dominican Republic (University of California 2007).
