Frank Polanco
Painter
Frank Polanco, is teacher, artist, sketcher, investigator and art critic, was born in Manhattan of Dominican parents. In 1984 he graduated from the Dominican World University with the title of Clinical Psychologist, and in 1986 migrated to New York City. In 2001, he graduated from Lehman College with a M.Ed in bilingual special education. He has participated in various art workshops in New York and Dominican Republic. Polanco’s paintings invite the viewer to have a social and spiritual reflection within the context of abstract expressionism. His work has been published in various print media both nationally and internationally. He has participated in thirty group exhibitions and three solo exhibitions. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Dominican American Visual Artists (ADAVA).
