Felix Diclo
Painter
He was born in the Dominican Republic. He attended the School of Fine Arts at the National University Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) and also, the Institute of Technology & System (TESIS). Having attained his first academicals studies in art, he set the foundation for the origin of his career. In 1994 he immigrated to the U.S. Dicló’s artwork explores and creates a world of colors, light, techniques, and aesthetic dialogues, which reflects the human condition. His pictorial world projects reflections of light that bring us to discover fading images being absorbed by shadows, things as simple as the beauty of the human body and the influence of maple colors, which are naturally accumulated in New England during the autumn, as well as the strong force of abstract composition from different sources. As for the present time, Mr. Dicló is entitled as the official representative of the Alliance of Dominican American Visual Artists in the states of Rhode Island & Massachusetts.
